Kelly Jean opened Mission Yoga in 2013

with the help of her business partners Wes Carter and Shelly Wolfe. The vision for Mission Yoga has always been an evolving conversation about what yoga is and where yoga is going. Kelly hand selected a team of senior teachers who are known for their distinct voices and their dedication to personal inquiry through meditation as well as movement. They are collaborative in their efforts to create a dynamic conversation between teachers and practitioners that doesn’t define yoga but explores it.

Kelly and her team believe yoga is a vibrantly alive wisdom tradition and they utilize the ancient texts of yoga as well as modern psychology and exercise science to celebrate their part of that tradition. Vinyasa flow is a common thread among most of Mission’s teachers but they are also students of Shadow Yoga, Anusara, Iyengar, Bowspring, Jivamukti, and Yin yoga.

Kelly and the teachers at Mission believe that yoga should never shame students physically or emotionally. You are welcome here as you are and they want to make the practice work for you.
